How it works

One direction, one thing,
once a week.

Everything a member writes stays on their side. The only thing that crosses is a range computed from eight people or more.

THEIR SIDE Eight people write. Nobody at work reads a word of it. On their own. No form, no name. THE WALL NO NAMES NO WORDS THE DEPARTMENT SIDE One range, once a week. Per group. Never a person. 60 to 70 Steady, or moving, or too small a group to report at all. THEIR SIDE Eight people write. Nobody at work reads a word of it. NO NAMES. NO WORDS. NOTHING CROSSES. THE DEPARTMENT SIDE One range, once a week. Per group. Never a person. 60 to 70 Steady, or moving, or too small a group to report at all.
Illustration. The range is an example, not a reading. Nothing on this page comes from anyone's data.
ONE PERSON'S SIDE They write something Nobody at work reads it not the chief, not the union Their own pattern one number a day · only they can see it A door, if it reads heavy crisis numbers come back to them, and nobody at work is told Gone in 90 days or the moment they erase it Once a week 8 or more people, averaged into one range FEWER THAN 8 NOTHING PASSES NOT ONE WORD, EVER NOTHING TRAVELS BACK WHAT THE DEPARTMENT SEES EXAMPLE, not live data Eight weeks, same scale on every row. Higher is steadier. A Shift 70–80 steady Station 4 50–60 down 3 weeks C Shift 60–70 recovering Night Crew no signal 5 people Under eight. Nothing to show, and nothing stored to show later. No name. No person. No who-used-it. No smaller cut. Every view of this screen is logged.
Nothing travels back up. The database physically refuses to store a reading for a group under eight, so there is nothing to leak, subpoena or quietly turn on later. The groups, the lines and the ranges shown below the wall are an example of what the screen looks like. They are not real readings.

The eight person floor

No number is shown for a group under eight. Ask for a smaller cut and the screen says the group is too small to report. It is eight people who actually wrote that week, not eight enrolled. Twenty enrolled and five writing is a five person reading, and five is below eight.

See the group. Never the individual.

Leadership sees

  • One readiness reading per group, updated weekly
  • The trend over time
  • Whether a change sits outside that group's normal range

Leadership never sees

  • Any individual's readings
  • Any conversation content, quoted or summarised
  • Any group smaller than eight people
  • Any way to narrow down toward one person
  • How much any person used it

Where the writing goes.

Destroyed at 90 days

Conversation text is overwritten, not archived and not locked away. Any member can erase their own history at any moment, without telling anyone why.

Held by the members' own body

The data sits under union custody, with access rules the union sets. We cannot promise that nothing exists. We make sure the only people who can reach it are qualified and have a reason, rather than simply being able to.

Nobody at work reads it

Not the chief, not the union on a whim, not us. What a person writes never leaves their side of the wall.

Using it cannot be held against them

Leadership is never shown who used it, and the agreement bars acting on a reading or commenting on it.

What we do not know yet.

No department has run this, so there is no retention figure and no claims figure to show you. The pilot produces them, and you see them whichever way they fall, including the series where we run worse than chance.

We will not quote you a number we have not earned. Nothing on this site is a result. The figures from Gallup on the front page are somebody else's research into the size of the problem, and they are labelled as such.

See the screen before you decide.

The department side, with example data, so you know exactly what a supervisor would and would not be looking at.
